Public communication is a critically important task for municipal traffic engineering, public works, and planning departments. The Portfolio is designed to be a simple way to support public agencies managing the variable nature of public communication.
With your Workspace license, you can easily share an interactive tool to share both the most critical information and periodic reports that must be available online.
Portfolio Overview
Portfolio is designed to simplify reporting tasks, data sharing, and public communication in less time.
Portfolio enables your organization to easily curate and share a public facing collection of any Reports, Dashboards, Maps, or Datasets created on the Urban SDK platform.
Simplify reporting and communication workload
"Publish" information from your Workspace, to automatically update your Portfolio.
Embed in your website - Portfolio can embed in your website and updates automatically without any website development.
Unique Link - Portfolio provides a link to your Portfolio website.
Share individual reports - You can publish Reports, Dashboards, Maps, or Datasets and share via email, text, or social media.
Portfolio is only available to users with a Shared Workspace license. This article is intended for Admin users to understand how to publish a Portfolio.

Portfolio Settings
Urban SDK will initially add all necessary Portfolio settings for your account.
Only users with "Admin" and "Analyst" permissions have the ability to update the Portfolio.
Users with "Admin" permissions can edit Portfolio settings including:
Embed in your website - Embedded the entire portfolio or an individual report in your website.
Add a Logo and Link Colors - Customize the logo and select specific link colors.
Add Organization Name - Add a different public facing Organization name (e.g Acronym... Regional ABC) than the Organization account owner name.
Create Categories - Save information in a specific Category for Portfolio menu links.
Users with "Analyst" permissions can edit public Portfolio including:
Embed in your website - Embedded the entire portfolio or an individual report in your website.
Create Categories - Save information in a specific Category for Portfolio menu links.

Customize Your Portfolio
Users with "Admin" permissions can change Portfolio settings:
Open Settings from the left menu.
Select the Organization tab from the Settings menu.
Open the "Manage Portfolio" container.
Update the Details Organization Name.
Upload a logo image file.
Select a primary brand color.
Add a Public Organization Name
Portfolio includes a public facing Workspace name. Typically this is the public name of the organization. You can edit the name as you see fit.
Add your public organization name.
Add Your Logo
Portfolio includes a public facing logo that is visible on all public facing reports and files.
Upload a logo.
Accepted image formats include .jpg and .png.
Set Your Brand Colors
To change the default color:
Select the "Primary Brand" color.
Add a Hexcode or RGB code.
Or choose a color with the color selection tool.
Save Changes.
Create Custom Portfolio Categories
Your Portfolio will display content for all published information by the Categories you add when saving to your Workspace. Categories become the Portfolio menu links and will only display when content is Published.
Categories are your Portfolio navigation menu. When creating Categories it is important to consider public users navigating the Portfolio. You control the Category naming and organization. Please contact support for additional assistance and best practices - help@urbansdk.com.
How to Create Custom Category Links:
You will have the option to add a Category to any File you save to your Workspace. By default your account will have optional existing categories.
If you would like to create categories specific to your Portfolio:
Create Your First Custom Category:
Creating a Category will provide the option to all Shared Workspace users. You will only have to create each custom Category one time.
When you select "Save" a side bar will appear.
Enter a File Type Name.
Enter a Description.
Select "Create Category."
Add a "Category Name."
Choose a Color - this will determine your Portfolio Icon colors.
Select an Icon - this will help users identify Categories distinction.
Select Save - this will make the Category available for all users.
Select the Category Drop Down.
Search for your new Category Name.
Select the new Category you just created.
Save your File.

Select Save.
Enter a File Type Name.
Enter a Description.
Select "Create Category."

Publish Content to Portfolio
Your can publish content to your Portfolio by individually selecting "Publish" on any Report, Dashboards, or Studio Map. There are a few ways to publish content based on the tool you are usings.
The following includes instructions for all licenses. Some content or File Types are based on your organization's license. You may not have access to publish certain File Types or Content described below.
Publish Content to Portfolio from Workspace
You can quickly publish anything saved to the Shared Workspace.
Once content is "Published," you can share and embed individual links or share the entire Portfolio.
Sharing an individual link is outlined below in "Copy Public Link"
Sharing the entire Portfolio is outlined below in "Share Your Public Portfolio"
To publish content to Portfolio from the Workspace:
Open Workspace.
Select the ellipsis option icon on the card of the content you want to publish.
Select "Publish & Share."
Turn on the Red radio toggle icon.
The icon will change color to Blue.
The content is then now available to the public.
You can share the "Public Link" directly to the content.
You can copy the "Embed Code" to embed in your website. This will only embed the specific content, not the entire Portfolio.
Close the sidebar.
Select the ellipsis option and Select "Publish & Share"
Turn on the Red radio toggle icon
Copy the "Public Link" or "Embed Code" to embed in your website.

Remove Content from Portfolio
You can easily remove content from your Portfolio. Removing content will automatically update your public link and any embedded file. If you accidently remove content, you can also just re-publish by following the steps to publish content listed above in "Publish Content to Portfolio."
Unpublish from Workspace
You can remove anything published to Portfolio from the Workspace. All public content will have a green "Published" label.
Removing or un-publishing content from Portfolio will not delete, archive or remove anything from your Workspace. It only removes if from public access on Portfolio. If you need any assistance contact support - help@urbansdk.com.
To remove content to Portfolio:
Open Workspace, all public content will have a green "Published" label.
Select the ellipsis option icon in the card.
Select "Publish & Share."
Turn off the Blue radio toggle icon.
The icon will change color to Red.
The content is then no longer available to the public.
Close the sidebar.
Select the ellipsis option and Select "Publish & Share"
Turn off the Blue radio toggle icon
The toggle will turn Red and is no longer available to the public.
You may still see content on your Portfolio briefly. Refresh the browser or clear cache to check the content is no longer available. If you need further assistance please contact support - help@urbansdk.com.
Share Your Public Portfolio
The link to your Public Dashboard URL is found in "Manage Portfolio." Portfolio will display all "Published" content.
To review and share your public link:
Open Settings from the left menu.
Select the Organization tab from the Settings menu.
Open the "Manage Portfolio" container.
Select the "Public Dashboard URL."
This will copy the link to your clipboard.
Paste the URL in any browser to view the Portfolio.
